KHARPP is a British charity which began its work on the Polish-Ukrainian border in March 2022, supporting refugees as they fled the war. It maintained a continuous presence in Przemyśl until March 2023, providing translation services, emergency accommodation and transport, and other help to refugees. During this time in Przemyśl, we provided support for thousands of refugees, helping them to resettle across Europe.

Since its inception, KHARPP has also been working to support communities in Kharkiv Oblast, which has been one of the worst hit regions of Ukraine. Much of the region was under occupation until September 2022. In November 2022, six weeks after the liberation of the region, KHARPP Repairs was launched, working to rebuild homes, hospitals, schools, and community centres in formerly occupied and frontline villages.

As well as this rebuilding work, KHARPP also provides generators, portable power stations, and Starlink satellite internet systems to villages which remain off-grid. We pride ourselves on longterm support, making regular fuel runs to the villages that we work in. Sadly, we too often see generators standing idle due to lack of fuel. We try to ensure that communities are always able to use the equipment that they have at their disposal.

Our strength is in our flexibility; we adapt constantly to the changing situation on the ground, working closely with local administrations to allow us to use your donations in the most effective way possible.
